i went to help my mom out at her store today
by some queer stroke of fate, the old ladies that usually work at her deli all needed the same surgery at the same time, so they're all gone, and my mom is short on hands
my dad and i are working there temporarily until those old ladies recover
i realized today that i seriously underestimated the the level of trouble my mom endures everyday for our family
she gets up at 4 in the morning, makes sure she gets to her deli around 5 or 6, and literally does not sit down, stop moving, or stop smiling for the next 12 hours, until she gets home

so i was supposed to be at the deli helping my mom, but i feel like i was more of a burden being there
in the morning, i was in the kitchen all groggy, and i somehow managed to cut myself on an egg
i got blood all over the eggs and i spent the morning frantically trying to wipe blood off the eggs without my mom noticing
fuck my life, man
how do you cut yourself with an egg anyways?
